Coach Patterson Takes the Helm of Recruiting

Team PRIME Nation is excited to announce that Coach Reggie Patterson has been promoted to Director of Recruiting—and there’s no better person to lead this charge. Coach Reggie isn’t just a a recruiter; he’s a mentor, motivator, and spark plug whose energy lights up every court he steps on.

Making an Impact from Day One

Last season, Coach Reggie stepped into Team PRIME Nation as the 8th grade Jr EYBL head coach. It didn’t take long for players and families to notice his infectious energy. His ability to connect with young athletes, push them to be their best, and make the game fun all at once set him apart immediately.

Now, with the added responsibility of Director of Recruiting, Coach Reggie’s influence stretches across the entire program. From the youngest athletes in the Jr EYBL to our top EYBL squads, his presence ensures that the culture of excellence at PRIME isn’t just talked about—it’s lived every day.

A College Mind with a Player’s Heart

Reggie Patterson knows the journey to college basketball from the inside out. A Mississippi native, he played at Northeast Mississippi Community College before transferring to Mississippi State University, where he competed under legendary coach Ben Howland. Those experiences taught him more than just basketball fundamentals—they gave him a blueprint for what it takes to succeed at the next level.

After college, Reggie transitioned into coaching at Edgewood College as a graduate assistant, learning the art of player development, scouting, and strategy.

This combination of playing and coaching experience gives Coach Reggie a unique lens into the recruiting process. He doesn’t just teach players how to play; he teaches them how to stand out to college coaches—from intangibles like leadership and grit to mastering the mental game.

What sets Coach Reggie apart isn’t just his resume—it’s the way he shows up every day. His energy is contagious, his guidance is practical, and his passion is visible. As Director of Recruiting, Coach Reggie is poised to help take Team PRIME Nation to the next level. He’ll continue to mentor our youngest EYBL athletes, guide top-level recruits, and instill the values and work ethic that PRIME is known for. His journey—spanning college playing days, college coaching, and high school leadership—has prepared him to shape the next generation of elite basketball talent.
